My love of riding led me to choose a rein for the strap. The supple leather is attractive and what woman doesn't want 'to hold the reins' to feel she is in control.
Inspiration came from my love of Nantucket basket purses. Their refined shape and intricate detail truly set them apart from other baskets.
My Bluegrass Purse uses a wooden base but is not woven on a mold, this allows me to manipulate the shape making each purse unique. Using Nantucket grade cane for the weavers creates a basket that can take the abuse of daily use, feel smooth and age beautifully. Each Bluegrass Purse has a fabric liner with pockets and a drawstring closure that has a button or bead at the end.
It is wonderful to have a purse that is easy to organize so you can find what you need!
